Languages specially in a country that has a multicultural communities, we would find people who are bilingual or those can speak more than two forign languages.

      2.Name three ways in which people of different cultures can help a country to function in the new global economy.
      People from diverse cultures bring language new ways of thinking creative solutions to difficult problems and negotiating skills as well as the country will be attracted to tourists because of the varity of food of different culture and respecting it.


     3.From the internet, in relation to Cultural Diversity, find a picture and a definition of “Melting pot” and “Garden salad”.


Melting point when we have a homogeneous socity, they come from various background or ancestors and then they mixe to form one community but that was used to describe the assimilation of immigrants to USA in 1780s.

      4.Britain today is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. Look on the internet and find out which nationalities make up the “ethnic minority population of over 4 million”.
     They are Indians,Pakistani,whitIrish,blackAfrican,blackCaribbean,Bangladeshi and chinesse.


     5.Australia is another of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. The University of Melbourne has a policy on Cultural Diversity. Read the two paragraphs and summarize them in your own words.


The University of Melbourne has a policy that support having students and the staff from different race, religion, culture, gender and even educational background and provide the right environment to encourage them to express their views and interest also to learn and explore more about diversity of culture.
